UN resolution on Gaza ceasefire fails

The United States vetoed a resolution that called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the release of all hostages in a U.N. Security Council vote Tuesday. The United States has passed around its own draft resolution seeking a six-week pause in fighting , calling it a “temporary ceasefire” and the phased release of hostages.
