Deputies rescue dog hit by train, left stranded on tracks

Oklahoma deputies rescued an injured dog after it was hit by a train and left stuck on the tracks. 

The incident took place in Wagoner County on March 27. 

The sheriff's office released video of the rescue saying deputies were called to the scene and found the animal stuck on the train tracks. 

Deputy Hutton and Lieutenant. Halfacre removed the dog from the tracks and transported it back to the road, where it was taken to the vet, the office said.

It's belived the dog had been injured three days prior to its rescue and had not been able to move from the site of the incident.

The dog’s condition was not known.
