Lindley Middle School shooting: 1 juvenile injured

Lindley Middle School experienced a shooting incident on Wednesday afternoon, prompting an immediate lockdown of the campus. The school is located at 50 Veterans Memorial Highway. Officer S.A. Barner from the Cobb County Police Department confirmed the occurrence, stating, "In conjunction with the Cobb County School Police, we responded to an incident at Lindley Middle School following a report of a person shot." The campus was quickly secured to ensure the safety of students and staff, and it has been thoroughly cleared and deemed secure. There is one confirmed victim, although their identity and the extent of their injuries have not been disclosed. "We can confirm that the victim is a juvenile. Out of respect for their family and the ongoing investigation, we are unable to share further details about their condition or confirm any other specifics," said Officer S.A. Barner.
