Bass was at Ghana party when fire broke out, report says

According to a Los Angeles Times report, L.A. Mayor Karen Bass was at an embassy cocktail party in Ghana when the Palisades Fire first broke out last Tuesday. Bass had left LA days beforehand. She and Governor Gavin Newsom have been under heavy scrutiny for their handling of the deadly wildfires in California.
