Kansas City hit by heaviest snowstorm in decades

Parts of all states in the Lower 48 woke up to subfreezing temperatures Tuesday due to a weather pattern that will keep arctic air in place across the eastern half of the country at least until the end of the month. Snow from this past weekend's deadly winter storm will prevent temperatures from rising in the Plains and mid-Atlantic, as this first shot of bitterly cold air invades areas as far south as the Gulf Coast. While it won't be historic, record-setting cold, weather models indicate it will still be dangerous for those caught outside without proper clothing, the FOX Forecast Center warns. FOX Weather meteorologist Kendall Smith joined LiveNOW from FOX with the details.
