Franklin Fire update: 7 homes destroyed, 8 damaged

The Franklin Fire started just before 11 p.m. Monday in Malibu Canyon, propelled by strong Santa Ana winds and fueled by dry brush. In the latest update, the fire had burned more than 2,800 acres with no reported containment amid critical red flag warning conditions.
