HHM: Colorado brewery named Hispanic Veteran-Owned business of the Year

The Colorado Springs Hispanic Chamber of Commerce announced that Atrevida Beer Company is an honoree for the “Hispanic Veteran-Owned Business of the Year” award by the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. The company was founded by lead brewer Jessica Fierro and her husband Rich Fierro, a veteran of the U.S. military. The brewery is considered Colorado Springs’ first Latina- and Veteran-owned brewery. 'Atrevida' is a Spanish word meaning 'bold' or 'daring,' which the Colorado Springs Hispanic Chamber said reflects the brewery’s commitment to challenging conventions and promoting diversity in brewing. The pair joined host Carel Lajara to reflect on the honor, and what's in store for the future.
