Category 5 Hurricane Beryl devastates Caribbean

Hurricane Beryl has grown even stronger, becoming a Category 5 storm, according to the National Hurricane Center. One person has been declared dead after the storm slammed through the Caribbean’s Windward Islands. The system reached Category 5 status late Monday with 160 mph winds as it headed west across the Caribbean Sea, making it the earliest Category 5 hurricane in recorded history.
