Former US ambassador worked as Cuban spy, sentenced to 15 years

Manuel Rocha was sentenced to 15 years in prison on Friday relating to federal charges that he worked as an agent for a foreign government while in his role as a US diplomat. Rocha was the former US ambassador to Bolivia and pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy in order to avoid going to trial. Prosecutors say the former diplomat acted as a covert agent of Cuba’s intelligence services for decades.
