Drone pilot describes flying over Iceland volcano
The Fagradalsfjall volcano is currently erupting about 20 miles away from Reykjavik, the capitol of Iceland. Its the third eruption in the last three years and only 11 months after the last eruption officially ended. LiveNOW's Lexie Petrovic spoke with Isak Finnbogason, an FPV drone pilot based in Iceland, about filming the volcanic eruption and the feeling he gets when he flies the drone over a river of lava. "You kind of feel like a fighter jet pilot," Finnbogason said. "Its a feeling that you can't really explain, you feel like you're right there with the lava and you're full of adrenaline because you never know if your drone is going to crash into the lava."
