Iowa teen to be sentenced for 2021 beating death of teacher

The first of two Iowa teenagers who pleaded guilty to beating their high school Spanish teacher to death with a baseball bat spoke ahead of his sentencing. Willard Miller pleaded guilty in April to the 2021 attack on 66-year-old Nohema Graber in a park where the teacher walked after school. Prosecutors said Willard and his friend Jeremy Goodale, who were 16 at the time, were angry at their teacher because of a bad grade she had given Miller. In court, Miller apologized to his family and people who were close to Graber. "I would like to apologize for my actions first and foremost to the family. I'm sincerely sorry for the distress I caused your family and with all of my heart, I'm sorry for your loss," Miller said. "I'd like to apologize to my family, I love you guys so much." Miller added. "Planning on getting back out there as soon as I can, to make up for lost time." More LiveNOW from FOX streaming video
