California atmospheric river leaves Monterey County reeling from flooding and levee breach

Significant rain bands have been replaced by strong winds in Monterey County. Gusts upwards of 50 mph were recorded in the Santa Cruz mountains on Tuesday. Many residents of Pajaro, California remain in shelters after major flooding left the community underwater.
