Idaho Murders Update: Police say university professor accused on TikTok was not involved in crime
Police in Moscow, Idaho, say they do not believe a local university professor was involved in the murders of four students after the scholar sued a cyber-sleuth for accusing her of being linked to the grisly unsolved crime. The Moscow Police Department issued a press release — 44 days since four University of Idaho students were found fatally stabbed inside an off-campus home — acknowledging investigators’ belief that the professor, whose name is being withheld by Fox News Digital, was not involved in the slayings. "At this time in the investigation, detectives do not believe the female associate professor and chair of the history department at the University of Idaho suing a TikTok user for defamation is involved in this crime. The Moscow Police Department will not provide a statement about the ongoing civil process," Moscow Police posted on Facebook in its Dec. 27, 2022 update. The professor sued Ashley Guillard for defamation after she published videos on TikTok accusing the professor of killing Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle & Ethan Chapin in an off-campus home last month. She says she based the accusation on tarot card readings.
