UVA shooting suspect repeatedly given suspended jail sentences for prior offenses

Christopher Darnell Jones Jr., the suspect in the fatal shooting of 3 UVA football players on a school bus heading back to campus had multiple prior convictions, including for gun possession and hit & run, that resulted in suspended jail sentences. Jones appeared in court via video for his first appearance in court on charges including three counts of second-degree murder. Jones has not entered a plea as of yet.
