Kim Potter gets 16 months in prison for killing Daunte Wright

Kim Potter, the former Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, police officer who shot and killed Daunte Wright, was sentenced to 16 months in jail. The judge said Potter's actions were less serious than a typical manslaughter case and elected to go below the typical sentencing guidelines for first- and second-degree manslaughter. The full sentence is two years, but one-third of that will be served on house arrest, per the judge's order.
