Bob Dole, former US senator & presidential nominee, dead at 98

Bob Dole, the former U.S. senator from Kansas whose political career spanned decades, including a presidential run in 1996, has died at the age of 98, the Elizabeth Dole Foundation confirmed in a statement. Dole had revealed in February 2021 that he had been battling stage 4 lung cancer and was undergoing treatment.
