We are learning more as the St. Petersburg Police Department is investigating an officer involved shooting that occurred Sunday morning in Florida. According to our partners at FOX 13 Tampa Bay, the officer involved was not hurt, but a man was injured and transported to a local hospital. Law enforcement officials later confirmed in a press conference that the individual who provoked the police shooting later died from their injuries. They also said that there continues to be an an ongoing investigation and updates will be released as they become available.
