An Illinois native, Nick has spent more than 20 years in digital newsrooms across the country. He did not find journalism, as much as journalism found him. After starting his career learning the technical side of making the news, he moved to the newsroom in 2005, producing the morning broadcast and writing for the website.
His career has taken him to multiple states, including Kansas, Tennessee, and Wisconsin, where he focused on keeping his local readers informed and helping the community. Now based in Orlando, he writes broader stories affecting the country and the world.
