Divers in Moorea, French Polynesia, had a close encounter with a whale shortly after it was seen breaching, footage published to Instagram shows.
The backstory:
This footage was captured by diver Bella Massey, who told Storyful, a social media video licensing agency, that she and a group of other divers were watching a sleeping whale from a distance, when it suddenly breached the water while surfacing for air.

The group can be heard cheering as the whale leaps into the air, and gasping in awe and it swims underneath them.
Massey described to Storyful how the whale then came straight towards them.
"I was expecting it to turn slightly at any moment. But nope. The whale stayed on course and zoomed straight underneath us," she said.
