UPS holiday hiring event this weekend: What to know if you're looking for work

If you are looking for a job this holiday season, UPS is hosting hiring events nationwide. 

The shipping and receiving company’s "Brown Friday" hiring event takes place Nov. 1 and Nov. 2.

There will be hundreds of in-person and virtual events and applicants can find an event near their area here to learn what it's like to be a UPS employee and find out how to apply for a seasonal job.

UPS is hiring for multiple positions for different hourly rates, including package handlers at $21 an hour, seasonal support drivers at $23 an hour, plus mileage reimbursement, and driver helpers at $18.40 an hour. The organization is also hiring full-time and permanent feeder drivers, starting at $23 an hour.

Last month, the company announced it is hiring more than 125,000 seasonal workers ahead of the holiday season. 

According to UPS, nearly 75% of seasonal positions do not require an interview, and applicants can get a job offer in 10 minutes.
