'The Masked Singer': Ship and Woodpecker revealed in double-elimination round
Two stars were revealed during Wednesday's night episode of "The Masked Singer;" one, a Grammy Award-winning singer and the other, one of the youngest producer's ever in Hollywood.
"The Masked Singer" went with a double elimination on Wednesday night, unmasking two contestants in the process.
The remaining Group A finalists sang their hearts out on "Soundtrack Of My Life Night," delivering dynamic performances of songs near and dear to the contestants’ hearts, but ultimately, Woodpecker and Ship were sent home.
"The Masked Singer" first unveiled Woodpecker, who turned out to be Marsai Martin, known for her roles in "black-ish" and films such as "Little."

Woodpecker is Marsai Martin
The Ding-Dong Keep It On Bell, which allows the judges to save a contestant up for elimination, was reintroduced this season. However, it was not used during this episode.
After a shout-out to her grandmother, Marsai shared how they were both fans of the show from the very beginning.
"This show has been absolutely amazing," Marsai said. "And honestly, singing has just been out of my comfort zone for the longest time. So, I think to be able to be behind the mask and become this certain character felt fun and exciting."
Panelist Rita Ora gave Marsai props for bringing "sass" and "glamour" to the show.
"Your costume really suits you because you gave us so much sass, everything that this show needed. You brought the swag and the sass and the glamour, it was amazing," Ora said.

Ship is Paula Cole
Panelist Jenny McCarthy correctly guessed Ship’s identity before the unmasking and Ora once again took the chance to chime in to gush over Cole.
"It’s such an honor to meet you and have you on the show," Ora said. "I’m a huge fan of yours."
When asked why she decided to appear on "The Masked Singer," Cole simply replied, "Well they asked me."
"And I thought, ‘This makes me uncomfortable,’ but, I thought there’s so much possibility when you pick up your bravery and do something outside of your comfort zone. And so I pushed myself and then, it’s just fun."

Next week, it’s "Sports Night" on "The Masked Singer." Group B will take the stage, introducing five new celebrities.
