Authorities are investigating a potential arson attack at a Tesla shop after two Tesla Cybertrucks caught fire Monday evening in Kansas City.
FBI Kansas City released a statement Tuesday saying that its agency, along with the Alcohol Tabacco and Firearms’ (ATF) Kansas City Field Division and the Kansas City Police Department, are probing the Cybertruck incidents.

According to the Kansas City Star, bomb and arson investigators with the police department are trying to determine the cause of the fire, and that officials believed it "may have been set intentionally."
Kansas City Cybertruck fire caught on video
Levi Campbell captured the fire on video as he drove past the Tesla shop and provided the footage to the social news platform Storyful.

Video shows a Cybertruck in flames outside the shop, and an individual is spotted running away from the area.
"Just drove by local Kansas City Tesla dealership … barely caught footage of girl in black dress running away!!" Campbell wrote on X.

Tesla cars and shops have been the targets of nationwide protests and vandalism.
Five Tesla cars were damaged in Las Vegas on Tuesday after a person set the vehicles on fire and fired multiple gunshots in a "targeted attack" on a Tesla facility, where the individual also painted the word "RESIST" on the storefront’s windows, Forbes reported, citing a Las Vegas police news conference Tuesday afternoon.

A woman was arrested on March 14 for allegedly vandalizing a Tesla Sales, Service, and Delivery Center in Chicago. Buffalo Grove police did not provide details regarding what White allegedly did to vandalize the Tesla service center, FOX 32 in Chicago reported.

Last week, three Teslas were vandalized in Dedham, Massachusetts on March 11, according to the Dedham Police Department. Officials told ABC News that "words had been spray-painted" on two Tesla Cybertrucks, with all four tires of the vehicles and a Tesla Model S being "reportedly damaged."
Earlier this month, a Tesla charging station in Boston was set on fire, and police are investigating gunshots fired at a dealership in Oregon, and fire officials are probing a fire that destroyed four Cybertrucks at a Tesla lot in Seattle, the Associated Press reported.
In February, a 40-year-old woman was arrested after authorities say they found a number of explosives at a Colorado Tesla dealership.

Elon Musk reacted to the incidents on X Monday writing the following:
"My companies make great products that people love and I’ve never physically hurt anyone. So why the hate and violence against me? Because I am a deadly threat to the woke mind parasite and the humans it controls," Musk wrote.
The Tesla founder also reposted social media reactions condemning previous Tesla attacks, including one user’s response that claimed individuals responsible for the Las Vegas attack are "terrorists and should be treated accordingly."
