North Carolina authorities said a father of three kids was shot and killed in an apparent road rage incident.

The Catawba County Sheriff’s Office said they have charged Terrell Eugene Giddens, 75, with the murder of Michael Guida, 40. Giddens was also charged with three counts of attempted first degree murder of Guida's young children.

Deputies said on October 12, they responded to a shooting at the intersection of Island Point Road and North View Harbour Drive.

When they arrived, they found Guida suffering from a gunshot wound.

Eyewitnesses told deputies that another man shot Guida after both stopped and got out of their vehicles. They also said the suspect fired multiple rounds inside Guida's vehicle.

Guida's three children were inside the vehicle. Their ages were thirteen, eleven and two and were not injured.

Deputies said they were led to Giddens based on a description of his vehicle. They located him at a nearby residence.
