Pizza Hut unveils wine for the holidays, pairing pizza with a unique sip

Pizza Hut wants to wine and dine its customers this holiday season by literally pairing pizza lovers with a wine.

The restaurant chain will launch Tomato Wine, "a unique, limited-edition tomato wine that captures the essence of your favorite slice in every sip."

Pizza Hut said the wine was crafted from tomatoes infused with basil. The restaurant partnered with Kansas-based Irvine's Just Beyond Paradise Winery for the product.

"The holidays are a time for many gatherings, but often the gift of a bottle of wine can feel expected," Pizza Hut's Director of Advertising, Elyse Slayton, said in a news release. "We took a beloved, classic pairing of pizza and red wine and flipped it on its head as we aim to spark intrigue and create a more memorable holiday pizza party."

The restaurant said it's also offering a limited-edition gift set, including Pizza Hut's new wine, two Pizza Hut branded wine glasses, and a wine opener.

Tomato Wine by Pizza Hut will cost $25 per bottle, although a minimum of two bottles are required to purchase. The gift set will cost $60. Both items can be purchased here

Pizza Hut said it's also bringing back its Triple Treat Box® starting at $19.99. The box includes two medium one-topping pizzas, breadsticks or cheese sticks (for an upcharge), and a choice of dessert.
