What makes these 'MTV Unplugged' performances iconic

Why you should care:

Many of these performances had been stuck in broadcast limbo for decades — especially the early MTV and VH1 sets that helped define the music of the 1990s and early 2000s.

Paramount+ now gives longtime fans and new listeners a chance to see these iconic artists in stripped-down, intimate performances that shaped their legacies.

Whether you’re revisiting Nirvana’s haunting final performance or discovering Alanis Morissette unplugged for the first time, this collection offers a major moment in music streaming.
