Man crashes car into apartment while eating chicken, talking on phone

GRESHAM, Ore. - An Oregon man admitted to police that he was eating chicken while talking on the phone before crashing his car into an apartment.
Gresham Police said earlier this week, officers responded to the crash and found a Toyota Prius stuck in an occupied apartment bedroom.
The driver also showed signs of alcohol and drug impairment before his confession to police.
Authorities said no one in the apartment was hurt, but the situation could have been much worse.
According to KPTV, the driver was identified as Billy Holt, 41, and was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants, third-degree criminal mischief, and seven counts of reckless endangerment.
Holt was arraigned and allowed to enter into a diversion program in an attempt to avoid jail time, according to the outlet.
