SINCLAIR, Maine - Authorities in Maine are investigating an explosion that leveled two homes.
The blast occurred Saturday evening local time along Shore Road in Sinclair.
The state Fire Marshal’s Office said the owner of the first house was home at the time and was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities said a second home caught on fire, and was occupied at the time, but the homeowner was able to escape without harm.

They said the second home was also a complete loss.
The cause of the investigation is still under investigation.
