Ford recalled 272,817 vehicles due to concerns over battery failure.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said in a notice the recall impacts certain 2021-2023 Bronco Sport and 2022-2023 Maverick pickup trucks.

A 12-volt battery in these cars could deteriorate and suddenly fail, causing a loss of "electrical accessories," like the hazard lights, or result in a loss of drive power, which can enhance crash risks, per the NHTSA notice.
