Tom Holland is in talks to star in Christopher Nolan’s newest feature film, according to multiple reports.

The "Spider-Man" actor will join Matt Damon for the top-secret new project, the Hollywood ReporterVariety and others reported

Here’s what we know so far:

Christopher Nolan and Tom Holland

Nolan, an Academy Award-winning movie director and screenwriter behind several huge films like "Inception," "The Dark Knight," and "Oppenheimer," wrote the script for the new film and will be directing the project, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Details about the plot of the new film remain under wraps, but Universal Pictures will distribute it, the outlet reported. The studio set a release date of July 17, 2026.

Sources told the Hollywood Reporter that the setting is not present day – although it was unclear whether that means it’s set in the past or the future.

The upcoming film, which does not have a title, was expected to start shooting in early 2025, according to Variety. The outlet also noted that Holland’s casting could be challenging for scheduling, as he’ll also be busy with "Spider-Man 4" and potentially the next "Avengers" sequel.

Nolan also made "Oppenheimer" with Universal Pictures, earning him an Oscar for best director and best picture. The film raked in nearly $100 million at the box office.
