US-Iran talks to resume as Witkoff heads to Switzerland, Israel newly strikes Hezbollah targets

US-Iran talks to resume as Witkoff heads to Switzerland, Israel newly strikes Hezbollah targets

White House envoy Steve Witkoff is expected to travel to Switzerland and join President Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner for negotiations with Iran over a potential nuclear agreement, a report said. The Israel Defense Forces also said it has been trading fire with Hezbollah terrorists in Lebanon after a ceasefire was reached on Friday.

In Washington, President Donald Trump lashed out once again in the midst of the intensified fighting in Lebanon and the stalled nuclear talks.

"We didn’t meet out of desperation, Iran did," Trump wrote in a social media post Friday. "They are FINISHED! We’ll play out the 60 days. They get no money, not ten cents!"
